Adam Driver, the stage and screen actor known for his work in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Girls, and Broadway’s Man and Boy, will headline a November 7 benefit performance of Stephen Belber’s provocative drama Tape.
Keri Russell and Pablo Schreiber will co-star with Driver in the play that delves into the ideas of social and personal responsibility. Belber will direct his play.
A former Marine, Driver founded the non-profit organization Arts in the Armed Forces, which aims to create dialogue between artists and service members through live performance.
The 7:30 PM benefit at Studio 54 is free for all veterans, current service men and women, and military families. Click here to reserve tickets. Must be 18+ to attend.
Tape, which unfolds in real time in a dingy hotel room, largely revolves around two old friends, one of whom tricks the other into admitting — on tape — to a sexual assault committed 10 years earlier. The plot thickens when Amy, the alleged victim, arrives at the room and throws both characters’ memories into question.
The critically acclaimed play was made into a film starring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Robert Sean Leonard. Studio 54 is located at 254 W. 54th Street.
Tickets, beginning at $185, can be purchased by members of the general public here. Studio 54 is located at 254 W. 54th Street.
Keri and Matthew Rhys attend the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy hosts the Brooklyn Black Tie Ball at Pier 2 at Brooklyn Bridge Park on October 6 in Brooklyn, New York. The Brooklyn Black Tie Ball on Thursday raised a record-breaking $1.1 million to benefit Brooklyn Bridge Park. Of course, this being Brooklyn, guests riffed on the dress code: Keri Russell went for a chic velvet Saint Laurent cropped tux and sheer silk Saint Laurent “bow blouse” to match with dashing date Matthew Rhys.
The pair sat at a table hosted by Met Gala guru Sylvana Durrett, with Rag & Bone CEO Marcus Wainwright, Meredith Melling and Elettra Wiedemann. Starwood’s Barry Sternlicht, behind 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, was honored along with Regina Myer. A sold-out crowd of 800 at Pier 2 was so jazzed, comic emcee Wyatt Cenac seriously warned against the excessive “jibber jabber.”

Yet again, The Americans co-stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys have served as living proof that true love does exist. The cute couple, who welcomed son, Sam, in May, coordinated in all-black ensembles for a performance of Tristan und Isolde at the Met Opera house on Monday.
Though they play spies on television, Russell and Rhys were unable to disguise their happiness as they posed, sharing many laughs and smiles outside of the venue. Rhys looked dapper and opera-appropriate in a sleek black tuxedo and dress shoes, showcasing his best accessory on an outstretched arm: his love and the mother of his child.
The Felicity star stunned in a flattering asymmetrical jumpsuit that showed off one toned arm and hid the other beneath a flowing cape. Russell accessorized with a bold set of diamond earrings lining each lobe and kept her hair pulled back in a simple, yet elegant, low bun.
